show your taillights....considering replacements

I'd like to see WJ's with aftermarket tails.

I did an HID upgrade (the correct way) a few years ago and I have finally realized I could tie the whole jeep together with a nice set of tails......

I'd like to go LED tails but I cant find any that don't look cheap and "ricy".

I would go with these:
http://bit.ly/18Rfabw

They look as if they could be OEM, no ricey look at all. And I actually saw them on a WJ just the other day and was blown away at how good they looked. I figured inexpensive lights like that might have low quality LED's, but those things were same brightness as any other oem LED tail lamp. I was impressed!!
Then, if you want the turn signals to be LED then without a doubt go with the VLED's V3 Triton's which are hands down the best plug and play LED bulb system. I have them as turn signals on my 07 Acura TL Type S and they are incredible! These are not some cheapo led tower bulb that you see most people have.

I saw those on EBAY......
Not bad at all.
did the LED portion function as brake and turns or just taillights ??

Just tail lights and brakes. The lower section has the reverse bulbs, and the upper one has the amber turn signal. Like I said though you can easily put in LED's in the turn signals if you wanted. As mentioned above, the highest quality plug and play LED systems are Vleds V3 Tritons. You could put either amber or red in there whichever you prefer.

Those look good, I'd love to see some actual photos on a vehicle.

There are photos of them on WJ's on this site. A quick search should and they should come up.

Yeah, those and the factory ones are the only ones I would have on my Jeep. As you say they could be factory. IMO all the clear lens, Lexus look alikes, after burner type all look cheap and hideous on our cars and belong on a modded 90 s civic.....where they would still look awful....but no one would care!

Those look pretty good! I wasn't able to find any pictures of them installed anywhere--or even better, video. Can anyone chime in with a link?

I went with:

They're not as dark as they look in the ebay ad, but they work. I still need to figure out something to do with the third brake light, gotta get rid of that ugly red.

Best price I found - http://www.ebay.com/itm/271192384200...84.m1497.l2649

I don't really have any good pics with them lit up... But here, I just went out to the garage and took a few. I might be able to get some better ones outdoors, and in better focus in a week or so.

They're all LEDs except for the reverse lights, you just swap the bulbs out from the stock lights. I'm pretty sure the reverse lights are a lot brighter now too, since the plastic doesn't diffuse so much of the light. Install is very easy, they plug right into the stock wiring.

This guy took some video, he mentioned in there that he has one at nighttime as well:

Have you considered just tinting them? 10 bucks and 2 hours seemed to be a much better deal to me than 200 dollars for new ones.

No.......
I hate the whole "tinted light" ****, its illegal in PA and for good reason. A very very light tint on a dark colored vehicle looks nice, but people go overboard and make it unsafe.

I can see why, there are people here who have it way to dark but you can see my stock bulbs shining through in the middle of the day from plenty far away

You have had them for a while, how do you like them now? I have seen some like these at one of the local shop on a Jeep and our factory lens lets you see the turn signal and brake light from the side, didn't look like you could with those and would assume these are the same or can you?
