Sell TJ for WJ?
I got a good solid TJ but I want cargo room and a v8. Plus the luxury doesn't hurt. I don't do too extreme of offroading either. Should I sell it for a WJ? Lets hear some input.

Yes, I love my WJ. Invest in a quality lift and you'll be happy as a pug in slop. :-)

I don't blame you but I personally love all the endless possibilities for wranglers and the fact that you can take the top and doors off and still roll in style... but if that's not your thing then get whatever suits you better! goodluck to you either way you can't go wrong!

I traded my Tj for a Wj two years ago when my daughter was born. I definatly don't regret it. I got the 4.7 selec-trac with heated leather and a sunroof. I feel like I'm riding in luxury now. I do sometimes miss my Tj though. The Wj is a great Jeep that is waaay more practical and comfortable, Tj is a fun toy.

Well Jeep-n-Sleep, if you ever hope to sleep in your Jeep, a WJ is the way to go! Seriously, my YJ was fun but I hated the lack of cargo space. I switched to XJs and now that I've got my WJ I'll never go back.

We have a TJ, A WJ and now a WK2. TJ is the toy and not a daily driver. The WJ is way better then the TJ for family stuff, hauling the dogs or cargo space. If I had to choose just one of them it would have to be the WJ as it is infinately more usable.

I'd like to go from my 2004 WJ to an LJ or a TJ. Put a LS engine in it with an automatic and be very happy. The WJ is great and I love it . But as my signature state's........MORE POWER much more power.

I have a WJ and my fiance has a TJ. I daily drive the WJ and we use the TJ as a toy. I walk by the TJ that's parked in the garage every morning yet still hop in my WJ. With the nice weather, I love driving with the top/doors off but I would easily choose my WJ over the TJ. If I ever bought a wrangler, I would get an LJ. I don't get along well without the cargo space/comfortable 5 person seating. I also like that I can tow much more comfortably in the WJ.

The TJ will handle a million times better off road out of the box. If you want a decent vehicle for off road performance, comfort, and a V8, a WJ is a great vehicle. If you want really good off road performance and more cargo room, an XJ is a good choice too. But less room and comfort than the WJ. I've had/have all three.

I bought a 2004 TJ (while I still have 2000 WJ) and did lots of modications on the TJ. Two years of driving my TJ to work (and offroading at least once every month). I realized that TJ wasn't a practical vehicle for me to drive to work for several reason: 1) the magentic sensor in the ground at my work's garage parking lot couldn't detect my TJ's steel body because my TJ is lifted by 4 inches. I couldn't get the gate open to enter the garage parking. 2) the gas prices went up and the gas to keep my TJ running was too expensive. Because of heavy steel bumpers, skiplates, big wheels, etc I get around 10-12 mpg 3) my wife doesn't like my TJ, too "bumpy" for her. So, I sold it and bought myself a Bimmer. The Bimmer was much more practical vehicle for me, and I still have my WJ. I think I like WJ a lot more than my Bimmer, lol. Last year, my family and I drove 300 miles from home to Cambria, CA in my WJ. We love WJ because of plenty of cargo space and comfortable on a long trip. We brought lots of stuff like baggages, laptop, Razor scooters, etc with us for the trip.

Why do you guys make a big deal out of being able to take the doors off your TJ?

I had both a TJ and a WJ, since I will NEVER part with my WJ I traded the TJ for a brand new 2012 patriot. I loved my TJ but I needed something that could handle grocery gettin, dd'ing, and long trip taking better. Yeah I have the WJ that can handle all that with ease, however the WJ is also my primary wheeler so when it brakes or is down for repairs I had to depend on the TJ with two cars seats in the back. Now with the patriot I don't have to worry, and truth be told I love it so much I don't miss the TJ. The WJ will always be my #1 no matter what though
