Ratmonkey is correct, the cam followers and hydraulic lash adjusters do not like oil that thick, you will develop a tick from either or both heads due to lack of oiling. Bearing clearances are set to run a specific weight and viscosity oil, start changing and mixing and what not, that's how knocks happen. The number 8rod bearing being most common as I have found in the 4.7s. It's fine to limp you home, but I would never run it 5k every oil change. I run motorcrafts semi synthetic blend of 5w30, works great.
