That's only about 150 miles. It won't hurt the engine.

The grade is thicker than normal but you be ok.
In fact I know of some that run diesel oil in petrol engine because of it's cleaning agents.

No worries. I'm running it right now in my 4.0, probably not a good choice for the 4.7 but it wouldn't hurt it a bit being summer.

The cam followers are pretty sensitive to oil weight. Keep an ear out for knocking.

I ran royal purple 15w-40 HD in mine for 3000-4000 miles. No knocking. Theoretically with the extra detergents that diesel motor oil has it could cause oil leaks. If a build up had it sealed off and the high detergent oil broke down the build up.

Ratmonkey is correct, the cam followers and hydraulic lash adjusters do not like oil that thick, you will develop a tick from either or both heads due to lack of oiling. Bearing clearances are set to run a specific weight and viscosity oil, start changing and mixing and what not, that's how knocks happen. The number 8rod bearing being most common as I have found in the 4.7s. It's fine to limp you home, but I would never run it 5k every oil change. I run motorcrafts semi synthetic blend of 5w30, works great.

It could also cause a collapsed follower from crud getting into it. Killed my friends wj that way.
