They only measure 32.5" in dia. and they don't rub on my back shocks like my 245's on stock Sliverbalde 1 rims @ 20-23psi, they must have a different backspacing.

I have the old rubi's with 1.25" spacers/adapters and they were rubbing a tad with 3" IRO on 32's, but they stick out of my fender a little ... prolly gonna go with bigger fenders when I trim.

I'm running JK Rubicon wheels/tires on my WJ. I'm sitting at a hair over 3" of lift and rubbed backing up and at full lock on the street. Did some minor trimming on the bumper cover and have no issues now. I ordered KOR extended bump stops to help with rubbing offroad.

Hope this helps

Here is my '02 WJ with JK Rubi's. The tires are 245/75/17's, which measure to 31.5" diam x 9.65 width. Granted, I have 2"BB AND UC springs. No rubbing at all, even with full flex (sway bar connected).

I tend to think you could get away with 255/70/17's since they are right at 31" diam., but the full 10" width might give you issues in turn, assuming that 31" IS too tall.

Keep in mind that my tires are non-aggressive-tread street tires.

The front wheel well looks tight, but I think it's the light/shadowing.

Back in October I put the JK tires and alloys on my 2003 WJ, We had to slightly trim the front bumper only... you can't even tell. We had to put on new front shocks - mine were shot - and that was it. It has been running great, but recently with the cold in NY and the need to put it in 4x4 i have noticed considerable noise and possible rubbing... does anyone know what that could be? Also my brand new ceramic brakes are making loud a*s release sweekes when I am on a slight incline....argh.

I haven't yet taken it to a garage, I am looking for someone who knows about cars verses a computer at a stealership. I need a local go to guy and I don't mind paying for it.

Any advise will be great.

If you really want to put JK Rubicon wheels and tires on your WJ, and you've figured out how much lift you will need, check maybe e-bay or a local 4X4 club for the tires and wheels. I expect a lot of new Rubicons are getting lifted and bigger tires installed. My brogher-in-law just lifted his JK Rubicon 3-1/2" and installed 35" tires and new wheels. He sold his old wheels and tires on e-bay.

Just an idea.

to ACTUALLY answer your question, 30.5's wont rub one bit. no way no how. 31's WILL rub when flexed, or full locked and in reverse (in a hurry) i'm running 31.5's with 2.5" lift and they rub horrible.

I have 31x10.50/15 KM2's and they only rub if I STUFF the front tires in the fender wells and try to turn completely lock to lock which happens how many times?() I also have a 2.25" BB and I my sway bar is still connected so i don't get to stuff the tires in the fenderwells in the front that much but I have no rubbing at all in the rear but I am on 15" Laredo wheels.

This topic has been addressed numberous times in this and other forums. To sum things up, if you have anything less than about 4" you'll get some type of rubbing.

I have them with the 255-75-17BFG MTs and the 2"BB and yes the rubbed a whole bunch before I trimmed a whole bunch. Would I have done things differently? No.

If you don't like the idea of trimming don't buy them. If you're cool with it then do it. You can usually find them on Craigslist or Ebay all day long. How much will depend on how hard you are willing to hunt (or how lucky you get). I found a set of 5 on CL and after some negotiating (I'm a vetran salesman) picked them up for $450 (they only had 1k miles on them & still had the nipples on them).

Anyway, for the price I was willing to make some compromises, but keep in mind that it's not going to be a simple trimming of the front bumper unless you have a decent sized lift.

Good luck!

Any pics of your setup? Im interested to see how a 2"bb looks with the 32"s

Thanks
