remote works but WJ alarm doesnt see "unlock"?

tested my remote at autozone, i hit lock and unlock and the green light on the autozone key fob tester lights up.

but when i hit unlock next to my 02 WJ it rarely works. now i say rarely because once in a blue moon it will unlock, but never if i hit it twice will it unlock the passenger door.

the key fob seems to have decent range when i hit "lock". but nothing for unlock.

is this a faulty receiver?

please help!

thanks guys.

Bumping this thread because my gf's WJ does the same thing, except with the lock button on the key fob. The unlock button works fine, but the lock button does nothing. Bad key fob? If we get a new one, does the dealer have to program it?

could be something with cycling or syncing. i researched this and what i found was, hit the unlock button like 8 times or until you hear it unlock the back doors then stop. it should be synched up. next time you double click it, it should work. if it loses its synch again (wich it probably will) repeat the process.
