Recent jeep recall

I work nights at a hospital so business hours are not my friend. I recently got the jeep recall notice for the air bag sensor in the mail.

Anyone got this done? About how long did it take?

Supposedly they don't have the part in yet. The service department told me there will be another notice when they get the part in. So until then wear a face mask.

Crossing-checking of VIN #'s vs. Owners of VIN. If you got it legally, I'd assume you'd get one if needed.

I'm actually concerned myself about my 04. It shows the symptoms the Recall describes, but when I first heard about it nearly a month ago (Before they officially sent out letters) I called Chrysler, read of my VIN, and they claim that there is no recall on mine. When I have spare change I might just wait a little while and ask a dealership to replace it anyway out of paranoia, especially since the Jeep is my mother's and I'm only temporarily driving it.

All you have to do is go online to chryslers website and ask for your build sheet. Once you have your build sheet, which takes only a few hrs for them to email it to you. Then in the build sheet it will list recalls. They also note that since they have your info now that they will then contact you for that vehicle if any recalls come forward. Takes about 5 mins to do. I hope I was some help

What determines if this recall is needed? I just logged in to my profile at Jeep.com and noticed a banner stating "No recalls in effect!".

You are in no rush for the recall either, Unless your airbag light has been going off and on, there is no chance of accidental deployment from what i read.
An indicator that the system is having issues is the airbag light , if your light is off, no issue.

I'm not familiar with the jeep.com website. But I posted a link directly to Chrysler and it may have a different recall there. I'm not sure but mine had a recall. It's down towards the bottom of the build sheet

I agree in that I've heard if your airbag light isn't on, you don't have anything to worry about. My airbag light is currently not on (knock on wood). I received my build sheet many moons ago, before this recall was even a twinkle in Jeep's eye. I am more curious which year/model/color/etc. WJs will have the recall or if it's just a flip of the coin. I'd like to keep an eye on it, though I'm sure I'll receive a letter if a recall comes up for my WJ.
