Rear shock length WTF?

I just installed the 2.5" ROR springs in my '04 Overland. I ordered a set of Black Diamond shocks from 4ws.com and listed my lift as 3".

I install the front shocks and they are at least 3" longer than my factory original shocks and plenty long enough to cover my full suspension droop.

Then I went to install the rears only to find the new shocks are only about 1.25 inches longer than the factory original shocks. About 23" fully extended vs 22" fully extended for the originals. These would limit my down travel by over 2". I sent 4ws.com an e-mail and they say these are the correct shocks for 4" of lift and the longest ones for the WJ. WTF? How long are your rear lift shocks from mounting point to mounting point fully extended? What should I do about this?

Many manufacturers make this sort of error with shock lengths.

See if they have a 24.5"+ shock for the ZJ. All you'll need do is swap your metal shock sleeves from your original WJ shocks in place of the ZJ shock sleeves and you will have a perfect fit.

Thank you soo much for the very helpful reply! I'll pursue this with 4ws.

BTW, I tried to go to your website but I see its down. Do you sell sway bar quick disconnects for the WJ? I need those too and if you are competitive, I'd rather buy them from you to repay you for the help.

My website has never been up

I got as far as getting it hosted but I can't seem to find the time to put any content there. I'm a Vendor here on the forum as I'm sure you've seen so you can always reach me via PM here. I have the JKS WJ disconnects on special right now - actually all JKS is on special. If you PM me your shipping information I will PM you the sale price, calculate shipping and get right back to you with a total.

Honestly, I'm one of those a-hole members who only posts when I have a problem so I have no idea who you are but I'm sending a PM now.
