Rear end fluid additive

Hi, going to be doing a rear diff flush on the wifes 2000 grand cherokee and was wondering what or if there is a special additive or not? I havnt had any luck finding ones that dont say "Do not use with jeep quadratrac." Just looking for some input.

Thanks

Your quadratrac does NOT require friction modifier (special additive) in the diffs. Varilok axles, which you don't have, were only used in the quadradrive systems and DO require friction modifier (special additive) in the diffs.

No modifier needed in open diffs. Just may want to check and make sure it is open. It was still an option to get variloc rear diffs on non qd models. But I think it was only on 01 and later models. Just a heads up to check if your not already sure.
The option for 99-00 was trac-lok. Not sure if trac-lok needs additive or not.
Edit. Just looked it up and it's still required on trac-lok.
