Quadradrive or Quadra-Trac?

Hey guys. I've had my '99 GC Limited for about a year now... Traded my bike for it, and couldn't be happier. It has had several little things I have been working on... Still need to pull a rear axle to fix a slow seal leak, but the latest little gremlin is a tick in the front driver's side, especially when turning. Looks like the boot on the CV joint is completely tore, so I'm thinking time to replace. I think I have the Vari-lock axles... But I can't figure out of I'm Quadradrive or Quadra-Trac... I have the 247 transfer case, which is apparently in both... Any help? It is a 4.7, and I can't find a badge anywhere...

Usually at the bottom of the bezel it will indicate which 4 wheel drive system you have:

Yeah... I have nothing. Which leads me to think maybe Quadradrive, and the raised badge got ripped off, since the Quadra-Trac II is painted on?

Possibly, however the printed on lettering could be rubbed off too.

Any badge on the rear hatch denoting Quadradrive? Might take a peek at your rear diff cover and see if you have a tag that calls for limited slip additive to be used when servicing the diff.

Aside from that you may need to send a request for your build sheet.

Nothing on the rear hatch, either. I've noticed one side has been reprinted at some point, and the front driveshaft is from a boneyard (has paint pen lettering on it denoting what it is). No tag left on rear diff.

Where and how do I request my build sheet? The link in the stickies is broken...

Negative. Quadra-Trac II/Quadra-Drive use the same 247 transfer case, therefore, both have 4hi-ALL TIME, N, and 4-LOW (part time).

Thanks guys! I'll see about getting that build sheet...

On a related note, I got all CSI on my shifter and found a small spot of adhesive residue on the bezel where the Quadradrive emblem should be... Makes me think it was the raised emblem and not the painted on Quadra-Trac.

The plot thickens...

Just reviewed my build sheet from Chrysler. Sad to say this is the first build sheet I've ever had for a vehicle of my own... Very cool to see just what went into my WJ.

Anyway, one of the early items on the sheet is: AWB Quadra-Drive II (R) 4WD system.
But then, later is: DHFP Quadra-Trac II on Demand 4wd system.

And after that, it lists front and rear Vari-lock axles. So... What do I have?

And, on an unrelated note... What exactly is ADEP Cold Weather Group? Does that pretty much just amount to heated seats?

Post up a copy of the sheet if you can. It sounds like you have Quadradrive, since the Vari-Lock axles are listed on your build sheet. It probably lists the Quadratrac case as it may be part of an option group that was standard, but subsequently removed as part of a different option group.

Not sure on the cold weather group.
