proper fuel pressure

What should the fuel pressure read with engine at idle on the port off the fuel rail? 2001 w/4.0 engine.

The Haynes manual has it a 44 to 54. Mine is 62?

it's a little high, but depending on how cheep your pressure gauge is its in the ball park.

Both my 1999 and 2004 FSMs state 49.2 psi +/- 5 psi at the fuel injectors. Your Fuel Filter/ Pressure Regulator may be the culprit.
