Power to all doors and windows cut off when driver door is open

02 Overland....when I open the driver door all the power to all doors and windows cuts out. So does the courtesy light on the driver door. All other lights on all other doors stay on. Close the driver door everything is fine. I have pulled back the rubber boot on the driver door where the wires go from the body to the door and they look good.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Where the wires go from the door to the body how can I access this? Take the pannel off down by the fuse pannel by where my left foot rests?

Only takes a few mins to double check
Unclip boot & Carefully inspect the black and orange/White cables inside the drivers door boot.
These are the two thickest cables.
Look for damage or bulges.

The next step would getting hold of a cheap multi meter and take readings if you can't spot it visually.

I had the same problem, it was ONE single, small ground wire that was split/broke and killed everything. Soldered it back and was golden

Rubber door boot clips off from door you can do this by hand easily.

The door step cover is clipped in place. It can be pried up by hand.
Under the cover is screws think it's two.
The upper part of panel is clipped in.
Once panel is off access to wiring in body is possible.

I had orange/white cable broken and black showing damage.

I cut cables at point of damaged.
Pulled one side back into body and soldered on extra length of cable using heat shrink for insulation feed it back through boot and soldered it to other part of cable again using heat shrink for insulation. Clip back on boot
Refitted panel and door step cover job done.

I found it easier to take the door off to work on the wires, instead of trying to do it in a crack.
