Pitter Patter from the PCV Valve - Is This Normal?

I recently noticed a clickty clackety sound from under my hood after a cold startup and I tracked to the PCV valve which in mounted on the oil fill tube.

I moved it around a bit and it calmed down.

So I figured it needs to be replaced, so $4 later it was done. Now, a few weeks later I am noticing that it is doing the same thing making a small racket in there.

What does it mean? Indication of something?

(oh, its my '00 GCL 4.7)

The pcv valve makes noise... that's normal... There's a tiny little ball like check valve in there... It's just rattling around.

My old one didn't make a sound b/c it was clogged and stuck. The new one however rattles just fine. When it stops making noise I'd replace it.
