Wj Pictures of 3 Inch Lift and 245/70/17 Tires. Go!

Hey everyone,

I really want to get some ideas for lift and tire options. I have searched through the picture and suspension thread, but it seems that everyone is running bigger lifts and tires then what I am looking for.

I would like to keep it at 3 inches and I think I am going to go with the IRO set up. Are there other options I should take a look at that I'm missing?

Also, from what I have learned here in the forums a 245/70/17 is going to be the largest tire that I can hold in the spare tire well. If I am off, let me know.

If you are running this set-up and you have some pictures to share that would be appreciated.

If you have links to other sites or reviews on products, those are helpful as well.

Thanks a lot!

Josh

Im running 255/70/17 with OME medium and .75" spacers up front. You're correct, any tire bigger than the one you stated does NOT fir the tire well.

I'm running 265/70/17 OME HD 3" springs, Bilstein 5100 shocks and 3/4" spacer up front, OME 10mm spacer in back, oh and 1.5" wheel spacers. With BFG AT's I need to trip the inside lower of the front bumper. Contact Kolak for all your lifting needs.

I have a similar setup look at my sig and I to run 3/4 spacers. I have trimmed downed the front bumper and need to do the rear as on the trail I rub terrible on the trail in the rear. It rubs so bad that i had to roll the rear fenders on one spot in the rear. I just got all four new lower isolators and I am going to order KOR 3/4 spacers and trim up the rear more to see if that helps. My only other options is to sell my wheels and size down to some 16 inch wheels with 31's. Anybody have any thoughts? Nice pictures of your jeeps guys in this thread, do you guys take yours off road?

LOL this thread comes up first. I'm also building around this tire size (daily driver/spare location is important). This setup will rock out some nasty stuff with a skilled driver, quadradrive and airing down a little. It has a larger diameter than most 31's on a 15 inch rim. The 31x10.50x15 BFG's KM1's on my XJ only measured 30 inches tall with a tape measure. WJ's flex very well with a 2-3 inch lift and you will be able to STUFF this tire size. Get some front disco's and you will be able to make TJ's with body lifts jealous.

That is exactly what I am looking for, thanks! Did you have to do any trimming of the bumpers with those tires? I am looking to get the IRO 3" lift, is that much more than the OME?

I'm planning on doing the OME HD lift as well... The tire size i'm thinking of putting in there is 265/70/17. Would it be a good idear to add som spacers? Mayber inch in front and ,25 inch in the rear?

Sorry, something happened to my photobucket folder. Here is a side pic and I'll take more from the front and back so you can see with the 1.5" spacers.

Here's a pic with the front wheel off and all the new parts: OME HD 3" spring, Bilstein Shock, JKS Quicker Disco, JKS Adj Trackbar, RC 1.5" hubcentric wheel spacer, all new Moog spring isolators. I just ordered also all 4 front IRO adjustable control arms and all 4 Moog Tie Rod ends.

My picture is the White WJ 6 post down and I am running 265/70r17 with General Grabber AT2's. I rub terrible in the rear on the trail.
