Painted manifold

Im in the process of replacing my leaking manifold gasket and I have a question about painting my cast iron manifold. I have already have a spare front manifold that I got last year and I wanted to know if it was a problem putting it in whare as the rear manifold is not painted. Should I also paint the rear one as well or can I leave it alone. You don't see the rear manifold because its coverd by the intake but I am thinking it may cause a temperature invergence from the front header to the rear.

If you're not fixing it, you're not driving a Jeep.

I was hoping you would say that. Thanks for the info. Tearing into the job now just getting all the stuff off the top as we speak.
