Wj p0700 and trans over temp

Hello, first time posting on jeep forum. I can't tell you how many time that this forum has saved me. Anyway, I recently replaced the transmission filters and fluid. Soon after this my jeep threw a p0700 code and overheats whenever I take it on the highway. as soon as I get off though the trans over temp light immediately disappears. I checked the fluid level and it is perfect, no issues there. The transmission also shifts perfectly. I would rather not grenade my trans because I am a broke college student. Any help is appreciated thanks.
