P0146 Evap Emission Leak (small leak)

My wifes 2002 4.7 GC has thrown this code 3 times now. I always thought it had something to do with the fuel cap being loose? But I have checked it each time and she had it tight. So since GC's are new to me can anyone suggest where I might want to start looking?

Thanks

look for a vacuum leak in one of the lines running to the evap cannister under the hood. particularly where the vac line sits on the nipple. it may have split. i dont think it takes much to trip that code.

I just fixed an evap leak(large) today on my new 02. Mine was actually located near the gas filler neck. One of the hoses running to the tank had a nice split at the end where it slid on the nipple. I just cut the end off and slid it back on. No more code, no more evap leak!

Perk I may have wrote the number down wrong because I didn't write it down. I just remember what my code reader said. And it was the Evap Emissions leak. I'll write it down next time.
