One of the worst things that could happen to a WJ :(

Im not quite sure how or why, but this past friday night I had one of the worst accidents you could imagine.. I was in downtown houston with three friends friday night and we were having a great time so far. When we were on our way back, headed west on I 10, I had my cruise control set at 70 mph, and was engaged in discussion with my friends. I wore a heavy jacket that night and took my seat belt off to remove it when I was too hot. All was going well until the screaming screech of tires swerving were heard, and my friends were screming watch out as loud as they could..A vehicle to my left and in my blind spot had veered too far left and overcorrected to the right quite hard, directly into my left rear tire well.. needless to say my poor Jeep started spinning counterclockwise and *** soon as we started the left side was off the ground. How many times we rolled I will never know, but eventually we were just sliding on the roof, upside down. I cant recall the rolling, but i do remember landing on my back on the roof of the car during the slide. i could feel the highway tearing my back apart, and managed to find the steering wheel to pull myself up until we were done..I will never forget how dark and loud it all was, sparks flying, knowing I was going to die through this..eventually we made contact with the center barrier and slowed to a stop.. I thought surely if I was still alive that I would die when a vehicle hit my car while I was trying to crawl out.. I crawled until i felt the barrier; I had gone the wrong way..this was it, i knew it. but no, no such car came and hit mine, only people who had stopped to help me and my friends out.. i was dazed for a bit, and when i came to i found that the car that hit me had stopped for a moment and then driven off again in a hurry-it was a hit and run. police say theres a one in fifteen chance theyll catch whoever did it. and i only had liability insurance, so no payout for another one unless this guy is caught Whats amazing is that we all survived, and i got the worst of it all. My friends barely had scratches. But the funny part is, judging by the photos, if i had my seat belt on when we were hit i most surely would have snapped my neck and died, as the roof was resting on top of the headrest, and i am taller than that. How much luck did i just use up for the rest of my life???? I cant afford a new one so please pray for me that my family will get me another one for my birthday this month!

Holy *****. Glad to see everyone's okay. Your Jeep looks terrible. I can't believe the prick drove off. I hope he's caught.

I know how I felt when I've had my accidents due to some other *******'s negligence. But it's better you come out of it with your life first and foremost and no one was killed.

I really hope they catch the prick and do the worst then can to him. If you know the colour and type of vehicle, start spreading the word. Maybe you'll get to him before the cops do! hehehe.

The beatings will continue until attitudes improve!

Damn dude, good to see you were ok. Terrible timing with the seatbelt. I think I'd find a way to secure that sub box though, you're lucky nobody was injured with that thing bouncing around in the back.

And wtf on the a-pillar. Thought that would be one of the stronger points in the car. The jeep must have landed straight on it during the roll to get it to buckle like that.

Find that muther****er and drag him across the pavement!!! see how he likes it! Props to the GC, she took a beating. Now for a moment of silence........................................

Better to be mute than dispute with the ignorant.

Perversion or self exploration isn't the point in this case.In fact there will be no case, no trial by a jury of our peers just fear in the hearts of those we choose. Doing this for the knowledge of our victory, that is how we are different.

I'm guessing the insurance company totaled it obviously. Maybe you could buy it back and part it out? Judging from the pictures I still see plenty of good parts... (Grille, driver headlight, passenger tail light, trunk, wheels, seats, bumpers? Dashboard?)

Or cut the roof off, pull the doors off, build an exo roll cage, ditch the bumpers and exhaust and make it a straight up trail rig, assuming it has a chance of running lol
