Oil Pressure Sending Unit - thread size

I am pretty sure it's just the sending unit that's given out on my 4.7L 2004 WJ but figured I might as well put a mechanical gauge on it while I have it off to make sure.

Does anyone know what the thread size is? Is it standard 1/4" NPT?

ill post up in a few weeks the size, when i actually get some time to work on the jeep on something other than suspension stuff that is, because i plan on getting a new sensor and hitting my local hardware store to get a y or t pipe so i can also run an aftermarket sensor and gauge, so ill have a realtime oil pressure gauge, rather than the all or none ones us 02 and later guys have

It is indeed 1/4" NPT as I discovered once I got it off. I did exactly what you plan on doing. Put in a 2" nipple and a T fitting with one end capped. OPSU is now easily accessible as well as it being easier to get to the stupid clip, and I can get a mechanical gauge on it when I need to.
