Oil Pressure Sending Drops to 0

I've been helping a friend out with her recently purchased 03 WJ 4.7. It's been having trouble with the oil pressure dropping to 0 and check guages coming on.

The initial thought was a bad sending unit. But I'm thinking it might be a bad electrical connection. I think this because it only happens when going around a corner or down a steep hill. And when the pressure reading cuts out it's for no more than a second. Then it immediately pops back up to a normal reading.

Had anybody else experienced a bad connection issue with these? Where should I start looking to narrow it down?

99.9% it's the sending unit, they fail in a million different ways like that.. Start simple.

You can always pull the connector off and spray it good with brake cleaner and see what happens. That plug catches a lot of junk. Oil, road dirt......

Just be careful when pulling it off. It's difficult to get to on the V6 and there are TWO TABS! One is a sliding red locking tab and then there is another under it that needs to be lifted up and over a lock.

ok Great! Thanks for the heads up on this. I'm gonna try the connector first, and if that doesn't fix it I'll go for the sending unit. I'll advise as I go
