Wj NV247 transfer case oil - date of expiry?

Hi,

as my brother in law works for Daimler, and they just cleared stock from all Mopar parts from the Daimler-Chrysler time, I got hold of several bottles of NV247 transfer case oil as well as some bottles of 75 W 140 (guess for the Vari-Loks?)

Any concern using those? Do they have some "date-of-expiry"?
At the bottom of the bottles I found some numbers like "1-05", "1-07" - I guess these are production dates?

Next weeks my transfer case (GC 2000, QuadraDrive) should get a rebuild, so those bottles would come in handy..

Stefan

Assuming the bottles are still sealed and were kept of out extreme temperatures I imagine the contents inside would be just fine. AFAIK drivetrain fluids don't have an expiration date.

Are you drinking them?

If not, as long as they've been sealed, they're fine.

Typing on phones sucks.

Yup, if sealed it'll last for decades.
