Some came stock with 245/70/16 225 was the regular 245 was the upgrade so no they wont rub.
I am assuming its a typo and you mean 225/70/16 not 75.

Just put 245/65/17 Cooper Discoverer ATPs on my stock WJ, look great, and handle really nice.

Factory tires are:

225/75R16 - 29.3" x 8.9"

245/70R16 - 29.5" x 9.7"

235/65R17 - 29" x 9.3"

The size you're asking about (235/75R16) calculate out to 29.9"x 9.3". You should have no issues mounting them on a stock WJ.

^^^What this guy said!!!

Stay within a 30" tire and you will be fine, you could easily Go 255 width.
