Wj noise from front end WJ

Ok so I wanna run this buy you guys. I went on a light 4x4 trip and after I noticed a weird noise from the front end it sounded like I was running over those rumble strip on the side of the highway only on decel or coasting at speeds of around 70kph + but I wasnt running over them. It continued to get worse over minor driving for the next two days so i removed the front drive shaft and the sound seems to be gone or so faint you would have to strain to hear it. I am thinking Pinion bearing what do you guys think?

If you pulled the front DS and the problem went away the problem is your front drive shaft. If you have a rezeppa joint, it's likely the problem.

nope I have the conventional double cardon I thought maybe with the load of the driveshaft off the bearing it might have quite down or stopped making noise. Am I completely out to lunch with that thought?

I would go ahead and replace the front wheel hubs if you haven't already. You can do like me and get a pair off Ebay for what Autozone wants for 1.

do you have any play in the steering wheel when you turn??? or is it just over 70???? my .02 say wheel bearing, or hub like Cdy291. or do a complete lube order ( grease the front and see if that may help at all sometimes the smallest piece of dirt can do the damndest things) or maybe you lost a wheel weight
