hi no start and all the dash gauges are down but i have power on ac, radio windows etc .
same time we connect a scanner and it can't and not receiving any codes from the car .
the key ignition key light is on with a bar crossing it
please i need help i dont know what to do thanks
With the key out is the cluster backlit at all times? Sounds like a bus fault. Check continuity between pcm PCI bus wire and the interior. if the bus wire is shorted to ground you get all the above, plus Windows don't work.
I just had this same problem. Jeep died on the highway, would crank but no start. Gauges wouldn't move, my code reader couldn't communicate with the pcm and the key light was on. My issue turned out to be a bad crank sensor. Unplug the crank sensor and if the gauges move to their normal positions replace the the crank sensor and you'll be good
This is the thread I created with a link to the thread which helped me figure out my problem. It's worth a read because everything you are describing are exactly what I was expiriencing
after two weeks that i replaced the sensor the truck stop working again same problems cranck no start with the difference this time the gauges going to the correct positions oil over 40 battery almost 14 etc etc thanks
Double check your two main harnesses on the driver side under dash. Make sure they are firmly planted and same goes for the passenger side. if that doesn't solve it then move to your fuses and battery. Make sure there are no shorts. ECM will be the last thing.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
