Newbe Here With a Tire Question

We just bought a 1999 Grand Cherokee Limited and am in the process of checking everything over. I owned several Cherokees 20 years ago and now happy to have one again. I need to buy new tires and have a dilema. I was able to down load the original order info on it and it states tire size as ordered being 245/70/R16, which is currently on it, but the door sticker indicates 225/75/R16. I'm trying to figure out which size to put on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure I'll have more questions later but this is the important one for now. BTW it's in excellent condition although high miles.
TIA

look at this..
http://wjjeeps.com/wheels.htm#TIRES

Look under the two sizes you listed and you can see the difference in the overall measure of the tires is neglible. The 245 will be a little wider and taller but by fractions of an inch.. nothing to worry about...

I would pick whatever I could find the best deal on

I guess I wasn't clear. I'm trying to determine which size tires came on it.

I think they came with both. If you're going to tow, use the narrower tires so they have a little more room to spread out under a heavy trailer, otherwise the 245's will look better.

The sticker on your door tells you what it came with from the factory. I guess I wasn't clear in that those two size tires are almost identical so it doesn't really matter either...
