New WJ Laredo (Wayne)

i had been poking around for a car lately cause the MJ was getting terrible gas mileage and its making my ears ring every trip.

I had struck a deal from a dealership my Father works at, a decent dark slate blue WJ for only $1,600, one owner too! I immediately grabbed it before it was wholesaled. I would have to say this is probably the best Jeep deal next to getting my MJ.

here are the specs..

Year- 2003
Trim- Laredo
Engine- 4.0L (with 180psi compression)
Trans- 4-spd automatic, you know this already..
4x4- Seletrac, just what I wanted
miles- 203,000
MPG- average 23.2
problems- airbag light, loose radio antennae, and dim headlamps

A/C blows cold, heat works great, everythings all clean, no serious damage, only one owner, great gas mileage, engine runs very smooth after I cleaned it out.

I wasn't a fan of the WJ before, I take that back now, they are very nice Jeeps to have. Now I can leave the noisy MJ at the gas station!

later on I plan on doing very minor things to it, no lifts cause of front coil suspensions and too expensive. I probably wont even take it offroading, its too nice for that! I would have to switch out the tires soon since the rear is wearing out, and I like the BFG A/Ts alot. I could get a set from work cheap. my MJ needs a muffler so bad, it blew 4 already, so Ill get a cherry bomb for the WJ and the old muffler on the MJ. also a set of new Headlamp assemblies and a K/N air filter just for kicks. I also have an itch to add overhead foglights and a tow package in case.

suggestions and replies are welcome

Polish up your head lights and de-amber and tint your tail lights. Also think about getting a bull bar and Fawkes relocation mounts for it.

headlamps have been polished, i took it to get detailed the other day, looks real good now but still lousy lightshow.

im not really considering a front bumper unless deer are crossing the road more often.

No it doesn't. I have one on mine and its deep and throaty. The key is to get a long glass pack, and short one will sound like a civic.
