New Jeep Owner- Starting problem

I just bought a 1999 grand cherokee with the 4.7 engine. A few times since ive owned it the engine would continually try to start but would never fully turn on. After coming back and trying later it started, the check engine is now on. Also I kept it running after I got it started I kept it parked and it started to shake very badly so I turned it off and back on then it was fine.
Any ideas??

Tomorrow morning go to an autozone or something similar and they should read the code for you.So at least you will know what your dealing with. Theres also a way by turning the key on and of 3 times to get the codes if you dont want to wait. Check out WJJeeps to decipher the code and your on your way. Welcome aboard..

Sounds like CKP sensor to me.

Ok so I found out that P0320 is for the CKP sensor you mentioned, is that an easy fix?
The other, P1685 is for SKIM Invalid Key, is this an easy fix?

The crank position sensor was an easy fix on my I6. Hopefully someone with a V8 will chime in here. I'm not sure if it's in the same spot. I doubt it is. The skim key code might be more complicated. That's a securtiy feature which will also stop the Jeep from starting. If you change the CKP first make sure you buy dealer only sensors. Jeeps and aftermarket sensors don't play well together. They're a little more expensive and a lot less headache.

I had this cheap socket set that someone got me for Christmas. The set blows but it had this long flexible rubber extension. I used that and it worked great.
