Need Trans help please!!!

02 Wj 4.0 with auto 2wd. Tranny still acting up. had fluid and filter changed, replaced throttle possioning sensor, replaced all shift solenoids in transmisson and still will not shift properally. sometimes if i start off easily it will shift out fine but if i give it throttle and it shifts down to passing gear(2nd) it will not shift to 3rd. I have to come to a compleat stop and even then it might hang in 2nd. Where is the speed sensor located?
ANY IDEAS??

Having a similar problem. When driving cold it shifts from 1st to 2nd perfect but fron 2nd to 3rd what a pain. It just wants to rev to 4500, about 40 mph and just hands there for a little then a hard shift. Or when it gets to 40-45 mph just take foot of has let the rev drop and you hear it "zzzz" then shifts... Replaced trans fluid with atf+4 and replaced trans filter still same problem. When it's hot 30+ min of driving it shifts perfect 15ish mph, 25ish mph, 35ish mph, ect

There IS suppose to be some delay until it reaches operating temp. to protect the tranny. You can confirm in the owners manual. Might check for some codes to be sure it isn't acting more severe.

if you have been changing the sensors in the tranny the tcm needs to learn the new ones as they are all slightly different.
has it thrown any codes up for the tranny?

I haven't had a code yet. even when it first started no codes came out and even after changing all these sensors their are no codes or a check engine light. How do you adjust the bands?

Well i do some mechnic work on the side and have even rebuilt several GM automatic transmissions. I usually check the throttle possioning sensor, this sensor tells the trans when to shift according to how much throttle is being used. On this jeep i'm working on I replaced the TPS and the speed sensor, which i was told on another forum that it was causing my problem, But it didn't fix problem. So now I'm baffled. Usually on a Gm tranny their no problem to fix, guess Jeeps are very diffrent.

Okay so since I was going to the parts store to get some sea foam I though well why not lets just gets the sensors now and do a basic tune up. First thing was first wanted to try and reset the ECU and PCM so I took off the neg. battery term. I put the new TPS on and also took off the the other two sensors and gave them a good cleaning with throttle body cleaner. While I had it all off and apart I gave the TB a good cleaning as well. Put the new TSS on; the old one had some silver trans matter on the tip of the sensor. Replaced the air filter, spark plugs, and new boots with the springs. She started right up and idled just as good as before, BUT still not wanting to shift to 3rd!!! So I drove her around for a little and jumped on the interstate and opened her up WOT till 80ish. Got off the interstate and she shifted in all gears better then before when hot. I really don't know if the problem is still there or not since it is hot but will repost with an update when i take off for work tonight. When I take off for work I will do a video from the second I start it up so everyone can see RPM vs. MPH in regards to the shift points being cold. Then when I get to work it should be warm enough to see how it shifts correctly.
I really hope this works... :-)

Thanks in advance for all the help.

when you changed the fluid and filter, did you change out the cooler return filter as well? There's actually a TSB on this part failing (21-015-05). Check here for full info and part numbers for new part - http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2005/21-015-05.htm
