Wj Need comments on Stillen/DBA brake upgrade

Need brakes on my '99 Grand Cherokee and I am concidering getting the Stillen/DBA rotors and pads from Kolak. Can anyone with them give me their thoughts. How well do they stop (wet, dry), do they make very much noise or dust? Thanks for the info, Kevin

DBA makes pretty decent rotors.

I don't know what kind of pads he sells, but I really recommend these guys.

Carbotech 1521s are kick *** brake pads. Blow hawks out of the water, we run the the XP12s and XP16s on R35 GTR race cars, and they are incredible.

Get you some stainless lines, I am sure they make them and some motul dot 4 fluid and you'll be blown away by the difference.

I got those rotors from Kolak back in October and it made a world of difference. Awesome upgrade, well worth the money. Winters here in Oregon are incredibly rainy, with some flooding, and I never noticed in loss in braking.

I got them back in December and they are amazing. I used to warp rotors like it was cool driving around the mountains in Colorado but I haven't any issues since. If you have the radio off and the windows down and you listen they do make a little noise but all cross drilled rotors do that to some degree, these do it less than most.

I put these on when I did my Akebono caliper upgrade, I'm going on about a year with them. They stop very quickly, a little faster than stock. They have more bite to them I guess I'd say. Not a whole lot of brake dust, but the little that forms like to build up a bit in the drilled areas of the rotor. And yeah they make a little noise, but it really isn't that noticeable. If you're looking for good pads and rotors I'd say you found them.

I just put these on my wife's WJ, she noticed a difference in the feel and the way they grab, so ya, I would say they are a good combo! When it is time to do my brakes, I'll be ordering a set for myself.

I have had these on for a while now and love them. I have had them in desert, mud, snow, rain, and So Cal traffic! They are so much better feeling/stopping than stock. I have an 02 so I also got the Akebono calipers. They make a fun buzzing noise too when lightly braking....
