I want to know what was going through the OP's head while holding the saw ready to cut into the hood for the first time. Maybe, who cares about resale value or should I really be doing this?

It should really have another elbow on there so it's pointing down but then it would really look like a sewer pipe.

yes, the hood is from the bone yard, my real hood has no rust , and but the way i use this thing on the trails and the fact that i was 19 when i got it, i could care less about the resale value cause i plan to drive it into the ground (then winch it out) even with this fact when i was standing on the hood with a drill i did start to wonder if i was out of my mind- the snorkel says... yes

That would be more trouble than it's worth on a ZJ.

I've got a stock WJ that's usually covered in mud.
I'm just going to quote myself because you gave me no love....

Very functional

I can't bring myself to cut into my body yet either (have 5.9 hood vents I want to put on). I don't know what i'll do when I have to trim fenders some day!
