Sorry I'm new to the site. . .Not sure if the pic posted right. Anyway it was about a 45 min install. . .no wires exposed. Switch is in the center console. Just loose for now. And yes it does look cool with full water bottles at night. Hahaha.

sorry I didn't take any pics while installing them, I keep running into problems. they powered up fine when tested with my power inverter, but when I tapped the power for the ashtray light they wouldn't light up. so I tapped the wire for the aux power outlet but its not a switched 12v. so I have to remember to turn them off other wise they will stay on. and when I tried to tap the shifter light power they would just light up white, and wouldn't change colors or turn off. but m happy has hell these things look great.

Awesome! Glad you like them! If they don't power on when tapping into existing lighting, it's likely an amperage issue. The LED's themselves don't use a lot of amps, but there seems to be a threshold when it comes to the RGB controller. If there aren't enough, the lights are just white. It's just dependent on the vehicle. A simple switched source seems to be the best way to power them.

Yeah I figured the amps might not have been enough, but I got them in and working... now I just want it to get dark out so I can go play with them.

For those who did this install... Just so I'm clear - the kit is complete, except I have to run to advanced or somewhere and pick up a run of power wire to tap in under the dash and a power switch?

Also, where did most of you guys power into? I was thinking the left sided cigarette lighter that powers on and off with the vehicle.

It is complete, comes with everything you'd need. Unless your adding a switch. You might need a bit of wire depending on where you tapping into a power source but other than that it comes with with taps, led controller, etc... great product and great idea for something unique.

I pulled power from the cigarette lighter fuse under the dash. Ran that to a switch under the dash. Then ran wire from the switch (tucked up and along the center console) to the LEDs. Really is nice to be able to switch them on and off.

You ran a line from the back of the fuse box under the steering wheel or you just connected at the site of the cigarette lighter?

There is an on off switch built into the little controller... if you hold the center button down for a couple seconds it will turn off, so I didn't add a switch
