The lack of bass is actually probably due to an inexpensive internal amplifier. The WJ Factory OEM amp is meant to take a high level audio input so if the built-in amp in the headunit is not up to par with the factory headunit you may notice a difference. Since it comes with RCA pre-outs though you could easily replace your OEM amplifier with a decent aftermarket one and still use this headunit. It will probably sound worlds better. Interesting to see this, I was able to get an RB1 for under $300 so I did that instead. I will say I really like the features of this one but in the long run going brand name and modify the dash a bit sounds like the best option for sound quality.

ARLiberator for Android is actually suppose to be an exact mirror of your phone. So it basically just turns the radio into a bigger screen for your phone and you can use every single app.

Theres really nothing special to it. Just a bunch of spots to connect the included harnesses. Like 8-12 pin connectors, maybe 4 or 5 of them. One is for adding an amp or 3, one is for adding a tv antennae, one is for the ipod cable, one is for the included microphone, etc.

When I take mine out again, Ill try to remember to snap a pic. Ive decided Im going to sell this one and pick up an appradio 2. Wish I would have known about the appradio before buying this one, but oh well. I still like this unit, but the appradio with the ARLiborator app is exactly what I want. Having google nav from my phone on the headunit is perfect!

For anyone interested in it, PM me what youre willing to pay for it. I dont have the original box anymore, but I do have the ipod harness and RCA harness which has video in, AV out, and front and rear RCA outs. As well as the antennae adapter, and GPS antennae, and wireless remote. It will be a couple of weeks before it comes out, so shoot me your offer including shipping and your zip so I can estimate the shipping. The best offer wins!

@OP

Sorry I'm not done reading this thread,

but there is a very similar set of car radio replacements made by Dynavin -- they mostly make it for euros. I bought one for my GF's 330i (2005) and the fit and finish was superb. If this is anything like it, it will look completely OEM and allow you to do bluetooth audio streaming from your smart phone, run maps off SD card, etc. etc. It's a great addition to the car!

Post away in here, my friend. No reason the thread has to die just because Im selling the unit

I did a little research on Dynavin's and they dont make anything that would fit our WJ's. There units look really nice though!

Timbo, did you do the steering wheel control adapter for your appradio? What about factory amp and CD changer (I have infinity system). I get my appradio2 this week.
