Jeep WJ swaying Problem

So my uncle is telling me he will sell me a 2004 jeep grand cherokee loaded for $2200. It has a couple problems. 1) when driving down the road it kinda wobbles. like sways when you go to make a turn, from right to left. 2) it needs a windshield 3) front bumper got ripped off.

So my first question, what do you think the swaying is? and is it worth $2200, 150k miles. inline 6. Thanks guys.

The swaying could be old shocks that really need to be replaced or really soft springs that need to be replaced. Also, the swabar could be not attached to the frame properly and cause the instability. The wjs tend to have a lot of sway, and addco sells upgraded swaybars for it. Also, the price doesnt sound too bad but for a 2004 thats a good amount if miles. Get facts on the maintenance that has been done it and give it a nice overall inspection. Listen for lifter tick in the engine, check for excessive rust, check fluids for any odd signs, see if the PO knows about any leaks and check if you see any yourself, etc. It doesnt sound like a bad price but we on the forum arent really there to inspect it ourselves. Also theyre is a wj buying guide on this forum , which i believe is stickied. Take a look at that and read up. Also wjjeeps.com is an excellent site to get even more info about the vehicle in general

There are a TON of WJ's out there. Unless the miles are super low, I would pass it by. I bought an 02 4.7l Special Edition for 3K and it was visually and mechanically a1. I looked at, and passed by 6 before I bought this one.

Agreed. Btw prices on wjs change a ton in different regions so consider that. OP, Look around before you drop your money on it and use your best judgement.
