Installing factury navigation in 03 overland

Just bought my 03 Overland this weekend, and I love it! The only thing it doesn't have is the factory navigation. So I'm looking to buy one on ebay and install it.

But, here are my questions.

-How hard is it to swap out the cd unit for a factory navigation unit?
-Would I still get to keep the funtionality from the 10 disc changer?
-Would the steering wheel controls still work?

This is my first post on this site, but definitely not the last!!

Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ - Factory navigation system

Read up there, it answers everything you need to know.

Being an 03, it will work for you, with all features of the steering wheels and 10 disk changer retained.

No problem.

The instalation is easy.

1. Using a wide, flat object pry off the ring around the CD player.

2. Remove the 4 bolts retaining the unit

3. Disconnect wiring herness and antenna lead.

4. Reconnect wiring harness and antenna lead to the new unit.

5. Bolt the unit back in place

6. Reinstall the trim piece.

7. Enjoy.

If I were you, I would consider a different NAV system. Since you don't have one stock, the money your spend on a factory system can buy you a MUCH better aftermarket system. Now, if you want the stock look, obviously you have only one choice. I usually go for the stock look, but I HATE the fact that the factory system is not touch screen.

he can get the RB1 or RB4, i have the RB1 and like it allot. i added it to my 02 limited

only down side is no touch and the updated maps cost over $100 each time unless you get a hacked like most of use do. but i have learn to live without the touch after coming from a garmin which i still use and have been getting hacked disk i have the most updated AI with the in-motion and nag screen hack.

also when installing first disconnect the negative battery terminal

before

and after, also changed the bottom black part for the heat seat switches and tray to wood grain and look nice too
