Angry Ignition Cylinder wont turn

My key will go in but my ignition wont turn??? WTF please help I was stranded so now my jeep sis sittin in a parking lot. I am planning on calling a lock smith in the morning hopefully there will be one open. Please help I leave for wyoming wednesday and kinda need a car

is the steerign wheels locked? try turning the wheel back and forth while trying to turn the key

Put key in cylinder, then tap the key fob gentley with hammer or screwdriver handle or even rap it with your knuckles. The cylinder key tumblers are probably worn and/or key will be same.

The lock smith is heading out there now he is going to charge me 100 to fix it and come out there

"Fixed" may be a relative term. What was the solution that they applied?
