How often do your window regulators break?

I've had my 03 wj for 2 years now and have replaced 3 of them and just tonight one that I replaced broke again. It's the same issue on all of them, the cable breaking.

May have found my solution. Link and partial text from site.

This solid aluminum block replaces the plastic part molded into the slide on 1999-2004 Grand Cherokee power window regulators. When the plastic OEM block cracks, it releases the cable holding the window up and the window will fall down.

Whenever I have the door panels off for work on any car I own I spray the wires and wheels with spray grease....never had to replace one yet. Well... except on my audi 20v quattro...when it was broken when I bought it!

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got yourself an electrical problem!

2004 replaced 1 regulator in 9 years.

Previous Jeeps: 84 CJ7 (A True Jeep), 2000 XJ (163,000 Miles/Totaled (Pictures of wrecked Jeep in gallery)), 2004 WJ (parting out die to major electrical issues)

If you don't have time to do it right the first time, how do you have time to do it over.

If your breaking 3 of them in 2 years, your not fixing the problem that's causing them to break.

I have over 30,000 cycles on mine and have never had one break.

That may be it, cause I never shut the doors with the windows down. Good catch!
Roll them up, shut and lock.
