2001 4.0 almost 150k, use store brand oil 10w30 and usually fram filters every 3500 miles, had to do (rough mileage) headgasket at like 120k, crank sensor at 135k trans flush at 130k, trans rear output speed sender and govenor solenoid at 139k, oil pan and rear main seal at 144k.
maintenance wise prob 1 lol i mean i dont go looking for issues every day but if i notice somehting i check it and repair it, and i give it a once over at every oil change when i have it in the air.
this is my second wj and third jeep (had a 98 wrangler)
2001 WJ 4.0 Laredo...3rd owner. Bought it for $1,500.00 with 224,000 miles. Currently has 265,000 miles. I had to replace the radiator, fan and fan relay. Fan created havoc as the polarity was backwards. Swapped out 7 radiators in a month and a half and 8 relays in 2 weeks, before FINALLY finding the issue. Lesson learned? Don't trust aftermarket parts.
Just replaced the passenger CV axle shaft and have brand new rear upper control arm and ball joint waiting for a nice day to be installed.

- factory auto-dimming mirror.
- luminescent gauges.

Always Mobil 1.
No engine or drive train problems. Some valve noise on cold start but it goes away on warm up.
Two replacements of the stupid blend doors, one under warrantee, one at 125,000.
One replacement of AC compressor, lots of hard use, I live in AZ.
Three replacements of the stupid power windows drive system.
The usual brake pad and disc services.
Lots of hard off-road use on the old mining "roads" of Arizona.
Total replacement of the loose stock low ground clearance suspension system with a IRO 4" long arm lift front and rear. Great lift kit! Replaced front drive shaft while everything was taken apart. Worn out suspension bushings were my excuse to do this :-) 32" Goodyear SilentArmor tires. Great tires, quiet on highway, adequate traction and Kevlar toughness off road. New rear bumper spare tire carrier because big tires don't fit inside anymore. Now it's an off road beast but still a civilized daily driver. Wife's only complaint is that it's "higher".
Right now, knock on wood, runs like a new car. No complaints, no desire to replace. Great car.

Use Mobile 1 High Mileage Synthetic
At 125,080 My PCM went bad. Rplaced it from a unit from autoemcs.com with no problems thus far.
Have some problems with my AZC, think my blend doors are bad.
Vibration on decel at speeds over 45 mph.

The wife bought it 10 years ago, put 185,000 miles on it. I took it over after I bought her the escape. Put 3,000 on it in 2 months. Dead nuts reliable. In ten years, I've put 5 radiators in it, just replaced the factory water pump 4 months ago, 1 cooling fan and a transfer case ( wife's fault, she ran over a stump and tore it off).
It needs a rebuild badly. Very worn wrist pins. Sounds like an old detroit on a cold morning. Still runs good though, so screw it. Gonna drive it until it breaks something.
