Thumbs up

Awesome job and wonderfully executed (though I'm a bit disappointed we couldn't sell you anything).

Thanks EfEmDee.
I am a bit surprised you didn't chime in earlier in the thread.

Mounted some cheapie AutoZone lights on the bullbar, and not surprisingly, those tabs are useless 1/8" steel with the same hydraulic punched holes as the rest of the original set-up.
So its off to the perverbial drawing board for those too. Maybe something that doesn't have a mile-wide hole to mount lights. Most off-road lights hardware diameter is directly proportional to weight.

And there is no way you would mount a light that would have that diameter mounting hardware on those THIN tabs. The weight of the lights themselves would bent the <expletive> out of them. Let alone and shake/vibration from even the smoothest of roads.
Anyone who has one of these bars will agree.

Unless I'm responding to an IM or a post in my build thread, I really haven't had the time to browse the forum here. I took a look around this weekend after I was invited by DubyaJ to comment on his review and saw this.

There are a few other threads I would have liked to comment on (since my name was brought up) but there's really no sense in it now... too much time has passed.

Mine has done okay with the Hella Micro FF's that I mounted. They aren't huge, and mount a fairly wide base with a single 3/8" bolt, IIRC.

I did, however, crank the snot out of the bracket attachment bolts before mounting the lights, and may have adjusted the lights for aim by bending the tabs.

Looks to me like this wasn't your first fish fry!

Very well done. Clearly you've thought this through. This thread is a great reference for those wanting to make shackle mounts as well.

Howler, great work! I have a bar similar to yours and had/have the same complaints about it. I was going to do the same thing as you but now I'm thinking I'll just scrap the bar and go straight for a bumper. Depending on price, I might just buy your brackets and use those as a starting point for a bumper build. Again, great work!

I actually just ordered a Hunter bull bar. I'd be very interested in this hardware of yours. Any word on when you'll be opening shop?

I have been very busy here as of lately and unfortunately, unable to do any fabbing work.

BUT for those who would like to make thier own brackets, I am willing to make available the prints.

Here are TWO of the THREE. (Third is being re-drawn- available soon)

Main bracket:

NOTE: If you are not planning on using the brackets as recovery points the welded-in gusset can be deleted.

Unibody Backer:

Bullbar mount:

AVAILABLE SOON

If you have any problems give me a howl...bettern not. People might look at ya funny. Drop me a PM here.

That's very generous/kind of you to put these out for everyone! Thank you!

Looking forward to having #3 available.
