I have a 99 grand and I am not getting third or fourth...no codes set. I replaced solenoids and transducer in trans and still no third or fourth.....however, when I do not get third or fourth if I stop and put in reverse for a second I will get third and fourth when I drive again until cycle key....and I do not get third and fourth manually shifting either. help losing my mind!

Try Disconnecting the TCM and reconnecting.. also get the fault codes read.. It sounds like you are in Limp Home Mode.

i think you have to take it to the dealer and have them perform a quick learn since you replaced the solenoid and have them erase any transmission codes. correct me if am wrong. as i am in the process of replacing my solenoid pack

Sounds like you have to bite the bullet here and put it in to A tranny expert.. I think it maybe a valve box issue.
