Help me choose a paint color!

So, I'm working on restoring the old girl, and mechanically she's about done. You can read all about that Here if you're interested.

I've been struggling with paint choices since beginning this project. I basically have no sense of color or at least the ability to visualize good combinations. I know what I like when I see it in front of me, but there's not too much out there in custom paint work on WJ's that I've been able to find.

Option 1 would be to just repaint her the original color, Midnight Blue Pearl: safe but boring in my mind. Here's what she looked like before the ARB bumper went on, but it's a good picture to see what the color looks like in the sun.

My first thought months ago was to go for an orange, something that will really pop in an outdoor photo.
There's Hemi orange:

And there's always Orange Crush:

And then I started noticing JK's in Gecko Green:

So every few days in the last few months I change my mind about what color to choose.

And then I saw some XJ's with green Monstaliner, which gave me yet another rabbit to chase:

Need help before I give up and just paint it Olive Drab with a spray bomb.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

How big of a paint job are you looking to do? If you pick a bold color, are you going to address the jambs or leave them blue? Something to think about...

Good questions, and ones I've lost much sleep over. I've had estimates from $1500 (same color) to north of $5000 for a color change. At this point -I can't believe I'm saying this- price almost doesn't matter. This project is such a money pit, why stop now? But here's how I see it; it's a good outcome that matters more than the price. By good outcome I mean a choice I'm happy with months and years down the road. I'll pay the paint shop once and the pain is done. But if the color isn't something I like, I'll be pissed every time I look at it an think "if only...".

So yeah, if I do a color change I'll have the door jambs done too. The higher priced shop I talked to will remove all the interior and even all the glass before they paint.

@ Steve_80, that's certainly eye catching. But I'm afraid my man card does not have that big a balance LOL.

Monstaliner has a whole slew of colors coming out....soonish....maybe...

One that should be available now is 'Get Hammered', which is their version of this color:

In case you're wondering what it looks like on a WJ:

Admittedly it was an Maaco paintjob so I'm sure the color match isn't perfect, but I think that color in Monstaliner would look awesome on a WJ!

Just changed the color on mine. Not as eye popping as the first couple pics.

It's not the right pink without glitter.

It doesn't show in that picture but the previous owner damaged the stock bumper on the RF, it's gone to the recyclers already. Around here you could get one from a recycling yard for around $40.

I DO like that desert tan! I saw your thread the other day and it's a nice look.

This is why I need help, when it comes to colors I'm like a retriever chasing 6 tennis balls at once... which way to go?
