Headlights WJ

My headlights are in pretty rough shape, so I'm looking to buy some replacements.

I was curious if anyone had any experience with these lights I found on Ebay.

99 00 01 02 03 04 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO HEADLIGHTS: eBay Motors (item 380239304964 end time Jun-12-10 11:12:31 PDT)

I'm trying to decide if I should give those a shot, or try to find a couple used OEM headlights. I really like the black housing with the clear bar style.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Also, I just wanted to make sure the 2004 headlights work on my 2001.

I tried that already. It worked at first, but came back shortly after. Thanks for the idea though.

I actually just replaced mine with those exact headlights. Its one of my favorite mods, makes your jeep look mean. Here are some before and after pics.

Mine don't have the clear parking lights, but just scored a set of black trimmed Laredo lights for $92 of I believe A&M on The Bay. They're MUCH better than the yellowed lights, but are made in China and as such you CAN see a BIT of Chinese in them... But rather than rub the chit out of the old ones and hey, for $92!!! Who's complaining, they look like new OEM! Oh, they came with HI/LO beam lights installed too, bonus!

You polished or sanded and polished? I'd just try the 3m kit for $12 first. It works on the cars I've tried, you just have to re-polish every so often. Worst case, you can get the lights off ebay for around $75 shipped with bing cash back.

I bought new ones at am-autoparts.com a few years ago. Still perfect and they even came with new bulbs.

Thanks for the replies everyone. That blue jeep looks great with those headlights!

I used the Meguiars headlight restoration kit, so I didn't do any sanding. I think I'm going to go with the lights that are on the blue limited above.

Thanks again.

I had great results on my 00' headlights with 600 grit followed by 1000 grit, then 2000 grit. They look brand new, cost me $5 and about a half hour of my time. Be sure and keep a good wax or sealant on them.

I need to get new headlights. I have tried cleaning them up. Worked good for about 3 weeks, then went back to looking like crap.

i changed headlights and fogs, it's hard to tell in the first pic how bad they were,
BEFORE:

AFTER:

i went with laredo style, by accident. i ordered the clear lowers, not the amber. they sent me the wrong ones. i got sick of the company giving me the run around, so i just put them in. best part was, amazon refunded the full amount 3 days later, and apologized for the way the company treated me. so got the lights for free. can't complain

^^^I never get tired of looking at your Jeep. Perfect mods.

I still say sand first to save a few bucks. It will only cost a few dollars. You can always buy later
