Headlights on the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

hey all-
i have recently purchased new headlights for my '04 jeep grand cherokee but i am having the hardest time getting to the original bulbs. i've heard you have to pull the entire cover straight off to get to the bulb..and i've read about the 'little clips' holding the cover in...my questions..

are the little clips the only thing attaching it?
how do you get to the clips!?!
has anyone done this to their jeep yet?
is there a good repair book that anyone can suggest? preferably w/ pics.

thanks everyone!
