Head Gasket repair, hand tools?

So after some thought I'm not going to get rid of my jeep, so in order to keep her working it's time to do some of the biggest repairs and first in order is the head gasket. So if I'm going to do a full head gasket kit and all associated seals and gaskets at the same time, can I do it all with just hand tools or do I need air and compressor?
Thanks all

Sure an air compressor would be easier, but not needed. Once you get the head(s) off get them cleaned and checked to see if they warped or have cracks. You can use valve lapping compound to clean the valve seats if they're not too bad, but if they are you should have them replaced or professionally done along with cleaning up the valves.
Just remember to take your time and take pictures along the way to help you put it back together smoothly. My first engine rebuild I took a bunch of pictures and used plastic bags and marked them. Good luck.

Self have build more then one motor, and self still take plenty pics and put things in separate containers

the other thing I do is where possible, when taking something apart, after its apart, I put the nuts or bolts back where I can

Eg, if you take the wheel off, put the nuts back on the studs
that way the nuts don't get lost and in 3 months time when you put the wheel back, the correct nuts are in their place and the nuts haven't grown legs and walked away
the wheel might of been a weak example however thing you get the idea
