Argh next thing!!! I've never had so much bad luck with a fudging car!! My alternator has gone! We'll I assume it's gone!! My jeep wouldn't change gear! Was like it was stuck in 2nd then the check gauges light came back on again! And low and behold the battery died!!! I had a new batterie 6 days ago! This is just ridiculous!

I read the fault codes in the vehicle which where - p1130, p0700, p0340, p0620 and finally p1270.

Do any of these mean my jeep is dead??? I am unbelievably tempted to go touch my car and claim on the insurance!

The codes could be due to the flat battery, put a fully charged battery on it, start it up and check the voltage across the battery the interior gauge will do.
You should get around 14v with the lights on.

Then take it from there.

Going back to your original post if the alternator had diesel over it then it could be burned out. but test it first. Your engine has run without a belt so that will drain your battery.

Once again would the gears not changing be linked?? I believe the battery being so low would shut down the ecu? Put it into limp mode or something? The Ava's fault reader couldn't even work in the ecu because the low power.. I only get the fault codes doing the ignition trick on, off, on, off, on.

Yes, it's gone into limp mode because of low battery power thats code 620 and 700 is a generic code for a gearbox fault.
1130 is low or high fuel pressure 340 is crankshaft sensor and 1270 is Intake Port Swirl Actuator.

But the Jeep needs a really good fully charged battery around 100Ah

when the battery goes low it throws up all sorts of codes.
