Gut the Interior?

I tried looking for results of people doing this to a WJ but had to luck with Google or the search function here. So I was curious if anyone here has done or has witnessed anyone completely removing the bulk of the interior components for their WJ. I want to get rid of all excess weight and I like the stripped down look of other rigs I have seen. I will not be driving it in the winter so cold is not an issue. Well that's it any takers?

Thanks teckman02, I guess I should be careful for what I wish for! Still it has motivated me to rip mine apart. Thanks!

all i got to say take your time with the inside body pannals there are some hidden screws and clips at to lower door openings they will krake easy

gutting the interior on a KJ is lot more easy than a WJ i will post pics of that later on

Perfect please do, and yes I know about the clips unfortunately a wee bit too late as I snapped a few of them in January when I replaced the front quarter panels.

Do you have any pics of the rear cargo area gutted? I need to install some hooks on the C pillars through the headliner for my cargo net and would like to find a good place to drill.

Does anyone currently operate their WJ with the interior mostly removed? Are there any pros and cons?
