Timkin is industry standard stuff. Never had any trouble with it.

Is there a write-up on this procedure?? My WJ is making some severe howling up front and it definitively needs new front shafts.

Before you go buying hub bearings you may not need, do this check. Get the front tires off of the ground see if you have any play at 6 and 12 o'clock. You don't need to pry with anything either. If you have no play your hub bearings are good. If you have ANY play they are bad and need replaced.
