I'd like to know too. The CV Boot on mine must have torn off cause it's gone.

I went to Autozone and they have them for around $70, but the system there says that it's "critical" that you have the engine balanced when replacing these??

When you go to the site, it usually lists several brands for each item. The Cardone half shafts are new units, made in China. I've used them many times without a problem. Fit and finish are very good, comes complete with tone ring, & nut. Knock the tone ring off the old axle before you toss it. It's nice to have a spare lying around.

check your hubs, cause you have to take them off anyways to take the halfshaft out. I replaced one of my hubs and a halfshaft in one setting.

Once you get used to their site, you will never use another supplier! They kick a$$, and their prices are usually really good. They carry all major brands for OEM replacement parts, and then some!

Check your brake pads.
When re-assembling, make sure you use some type of anti seize compound (i.e. Never-Seize™) where the hub fits into the knuckle, and for the hub mounting bolts. You'll know why when you go to dis-assemble it.

Advance Auto Parts sells the shafts for pretty cheap with a life time warranty. Anytime you mess them up or just feel like changing them if a boot breaks they will give you a new one no question.

Just my $.02

yeah, but if you don't have a receipt for getting your engine balanced, the warranty's no good.

...just kidding.
