Front end noise at low speed decelerating

Hello,
I have a quick question, pretty sure I know the answer, just want to double check! I have a 2000 WJ limited, 4.7, 4x4. When cruising my front axle is quiet, upon decelerating at low speeds I am hearing a knocking noise. Sounds like a CV joint? No noise under a load accelerating, or at high speeds, just low speeds decelerating. Any thoughts?

Thanks
Andrew

Yes I did. Passenger front axle shaft had a bad cv joint. Upon closer inspection I found a tear in the boot. Replaced both axle shafts for $100 in parts. The core charge for the axles was more than the parts!
