Replacing the joints is no problem! Just have to pry off the outer cap (mine was pretty tough coming off) then take off the clip that secures the joint to the axle, and finally give the joint a little bang to remove it! All i used was a hammer, some needle nose pliers, and a large flat head screwdriver :P I replaced the smaller joint, not sure how to remove the larger one though :s
