Front driveshaft issues? CLICK HERE!

This is for the people (like myself) that have a bad cv joint on there front driveshaft, but can't afford a new shaft/u-joint upgrade. When asking the local driveshaft shops here in town if my shaft was 'rebuildable' they all said no....

........really?

CV Joints & Shafts - Jeep - Jeep Driveshaft CV-joint - Driveshaft Parts

I hope this to be a helpful link to fellow jeep owners on a budget but with vehicle issues. I know I personally right now cannot afford the $370 for a new OEM driveshaft, or even the $290 (or however much) for a ujoint conversion.

well if youre lifted that will only last a day. If you are stock thats a good thing to do.

go to JY and grab a shaft from 95 GC. about $50 or less. grab a pinion yoke for about $5-10. DONE

thats just another idea. yes you can rebuild a CV but why if youre lifted. what you need is a longer DS. most DS shops charge for 1: rebuilding the head. 2: lengthen the tube which is a real pain basically making a whole new shaft. $330 seems to be a consistent price for a new shaft whether it be a CV or u-joint/dbl cardan.
new yokes run about $35-60 depending on where you buy it.

food for thought while i drink my beer
