Front drive shaft?
Hey guys, i am looking at lifting my jeep and i keep hearing that the front drive shaft will brake or fall off, do i need to worry about this i have the 2001 GC with 242 transfer case is there a easy way to tell what type of front drive shaft i have?
How high are you planning on going? If you are planning on 4" or more then your drive shaft will probably fail eventually. I do not think it will break off pre sey but will give you vibrations indicating that the joint on the Xfer case is shot. some one correct me if I am wrong. Once it goes change it to a double carden shaft.
Previous Jeeps: 84 CJ7 (A True Jeep), 2000 XJ (163,000 Miles/Totaled (Pictures of wrecked Jeep in gallery)), 2004 WJ (parting out die to major electrical issues)
If you don't have time to do it right the first time, how do you have time to do it over.
